This was the best Easter EVER!

(these pictures are taken with my iPhone because I forgot my camera, hence the quality)
Are you an Easter fan? I never really was. I didn’t like chocolate, eggs or bunnies when I was younger, so there wasn’t a whole lot for me to like about it.
Nick and I normally don’t ‘do’ Easter. But this year we figured we might as well enjoy it. And we did. We had such an incredible day. I wish for many many more days like this Easter. We spent the day strolling around a design/art and a food market in Amsterdam, where we had delicious homemade hotdogs and drank locally brewed beers. I even got a sunburn. Can you believe it? It’s only freakin’ April and I got a sunburn!
Looking back, I can’t tell you exactly why we had such an amazing time. Was it all the beer we drank? Was it the sun? Or was it all the delicious food? (look at me eating those nacho’s). All I know is I wish it was Easter every month!
How was your Easter?

Beer, food, sunshine and good company, what more do you need for a good time?
We enjoyed our first semana santa here Mexico, it was fun but there was distinct lack of chocolate!

Right! That’s what I thought!

Wish I could have joined you. I have been running after a very big rat for hours and watched my roomies while they drank too much. However, I enjoyed the sunshine and had a lot of fun with my ratty friend.

The weather was great! Next time we’ll have some beers!

I would have loved to spend my Easter (or any day really) strolling around a design/art and a food market in Amsterdam 🙂 When I was a kid I used to celebrate Easter with my family with plenty of chocolate eggs, I haven’t done that for ages. This year me and Dale are in Spain housesitting, so we spent the day cooking, petting the two cats we are looking after and enjoying the warmth of the sun with a nice book.

Whenever you’re in Amsterdam, I promise to take you guys to an awesome market and we can pretend it’s Easter. Deal?

I’m a fan of pretty much all holidays but can see how Easter, what with its Peeps and runny chocolate eggs, can be a problem 🙂 Looks like you had a fabulous time! Love your bag!

Thanks! I got it for free in Bangkok and I’ve been in love with it ever since!

Ah, I’m happy to see this post after those photos in your Instagram! This sounds like just the best day ever. I can almost feel your happiness all the way in India, so thank you! x

Hey Angela, glad you had such a rad Easter! Mine was quite rough actually. Normally holidays don’t affect me too much, but for some reason all of the talk and all of the photos made me miss family and friends even more. I linked the article below in case you want to read my contrast and how even back home I struggle with holidays.
Great post!

Yup. Your easter kicked mine’s arse. I’m not into Easter either, nor chocolate for that matter. Your pics are making me realize I need to get to the Netherlands soon.
